Let the 5,500 Mile Adventure Begin

This has been a trip to remember. 

The Journey Begins

I have never pulled a trailer in my life. To be honest I have never pulled anything. Our plan was to take a trip to Walker, Minnesota to visit our daughter, Dustin and her family, and see our new grandchild, Adelviess. We did that and more. When we got home, two days ago, we had traveled 5,500 miles and visited 16 states not counting our home state of Florida. All this with our cat, Abby.

 

I will post more of our trip in later post including all the adventures. Below is a picture of our first stop at Big Oak RV Park in Tallahassee, Florida. It is a beautiful park that is well managed. I highly recommend it.

Well, we didn't get a chance to pick up our trailer today so tomorrow we will bring it home and start getting it ready for our trip to Minnesota. We are really excited. In the past we would travel to Minnesota in our Hyundai Sonata. Not much fun for two adults and a cat with litter box. Now we have the Chevy Silverado/Crew Cab and our Travel Trailer. Looking forward to many enjoyable trips.

DeeDee and I have finally decided to buy a travel trailer and this is it. It is a 19' 2001 K-Z Sportsman and we love it. We will be using it on our trip from Florida to Minnesota to visit our daughter and her crew. I will try to post along the way.
